In July of 2010 I added another hat to my noggin: opening my own vintage shop on Etsy, mo vintage. Luckily seeing as how it also contributed to my eco sensibilities, it perfectly matched the cap [aka designing one of a kind jewelry for clyde's rebirth] underneath it. I found myself hoarding beautiful vintage attire I acquired while thrifting that would never fit me.. and a girl can only have so many purses. Close your mouth, you read correctly, I felt bad sequestering them away into the depths of my closet only to be frolicked around in the open once in a blue moon. Much better to send the gorgeous things to a new, loving home. With this kind of devotion, you can see why opening the shop was a much needed step.
Though I love seeing gorgeous 50′s day dresses and slinky 20′s evening wear on modern day women, I try to populate my shop with vintage pieces that can be easily acclimated into the modern women’s wardrobe. That means a lot of late 60′s, 70′s, 80′s and even a sprinkling of early 90′s. Items that are similar, but superior to those found in mass produced stores [though you can expect a wild card or two].
You can see some of the past pieces styled with my handmade jewelry in the seasonal lookbooks, as well as on real life gorgeous ladies under the ‘how she wore it’ {coming soon!} section of the blog. To see the current goods available, you can head to the etsy shop or click on any photo below to be taken directly to that listing.
