Kittens, meet my new online shop and the new fall line [available in larger than normal, though still limited amounts until the end of December]. New goods, meet the kittens.
Lest you guys think I’m not OVER THE MOON MULTIPLE TIMES ONLY STOPPING FOR CARTWHEELS AND CORPOREAL CUDDLING with my nonchalant introduction, let me crush that misconception right meow. I’m insanely excited about everything that I’m unveiling today. Not only was this big cartel shop a definite labor of love [ask the old ladies also enjoying some hot chocolate at the coffee shop way up nort this weekend who's eyes were practically glued to the side of their noggins while they snuck amused and at times frightened glances at the redhead slowly pulling out her hair while learning CSS] but designing the actual line was a learning experience in and of itself. From sitting down to a very honest conversation with myself about the direction of the line way back in July, to hitting up a deadstock vintage materials heaven in NYC and making a serious subsequent investment in the future of my jewelry line to staring in stark panic at the small mountain of raw goodness in my studio.. to taking a deep breath and realizing that I’m doing what I love and everything will work out.
What I’m most excited about with this line? The versatility. One thing that I hit on time and time again during that ‘chat’ with myself earlier in the summer is that I wanted the pieces I create to have a definite longevity in their new owner’s wardrobe. I wanted pieces that are simple enough to be worn everyday but also have the ability to transform into different variations at the snap of a spring clasp. I wanted pieces that can be worn alone just as easily as they can be layered and stacked and combined into a new piece. Basically I wanted to create jewelry Transformers.. though the alien defense maneuvers are still a work in progress. They can however transition from long to short, necklace to bracelet to body chain.. the bracelets can even attach to existing jewelry in your arsenal thanks to their dual spring clasps! Wowee!
But seriously. Versatile is the word of the day and you better believe these pieces live up to the definition.

I will also be releasing 3-5 one of a kind pieces [similar to the styles currently available] every month. The first slew of those will be available tomorrow [10/10] but the next set will be available starting at the beginning of each month.
“But what about the etsy shop Merl?!” I still have ye old Etsy shoppe, but will not be moving those items over to the new site. I AM however having a 25% sale all items in the shop [even the sale listings!] valid until the 31st of October. So now you have multiple avenues to support my cat’s wet food addiction online. And you know, my dreams and aspirations..
